Kar te zlomi, te naredi.
🥚🥚🥚
🐔🐔🐔
Poskus novega žanra, neke vrste “coming-of-age” romana, zaplesanega v kabarejski formi.
—Tina Habun & Carolina Alessandra Valentini & Nika Zidar
Trenutno jo najbolj zanimata raziskovanje in improvizacija. Ob plesu goji strast do fotografije in grafičnega oblikovanja.

What breaks you, makes you.
🥚🥚🥚
Shell (2025) plays with illusion, conceptually and visually, to explore how social norms and expectations shape our perception of what we are, identity, what it means to belong and where is the line between authenticity and perfection or beauty. Social norms and expectations create shells of what we are, what we are, are shells, making us, then breaking us, making us by breaking us, allowing for both conformity and transgression, captivity and emancipation. At times, we emerge as creatures, weird, unfitting, wild or unfit, breaking us, then making us, breaking us by making us, yet still instilled with perfection or beauty? Where are the boundaries of what is different from perfection or beauty, when is different “different”? Collaging situations or sequences, from mundane to affected, from refined to quirky, through the faceted, nuanced choreography of a dance trio, simple costume changes and precise, ambiguous use of props, the piece examines the illusion in authenticity, and the authenticity in authenticity, be it in what we are, identity, perfection or beauty, overturning social rules and roles by interweaving subtle, casual satire and earnestness, and blurring the line between the one and the other.
🐔🐔🐔
An attempt of a new genre, a kind of “coming-of-age” novel, danced in cabaret form. Not an aesthetic or technical dance, but a dialogue between social norms and inner freedom.
—Tina Habun & Carolina Alessandra Valentini & Nika Zidar
Tina Habun is a contemporary dancer who likes interlacing movement with other forms of expression, from words to sound. She first encountered dance through modern and jazz techniques, but her passion for creation ushered her into the world of contemporary dance, which she studied at the Academy of Dance in Ljubljana. She has collaborated with renowned Slovenian choreographers and artists, and has actively co-authored projects on the independent dance scene. In 2022, she joined the En–Knap Group. She is convinced that art can fill the voids in souls and minds – when it is genuine, full of life, raw, bizarre, and rich, it brings inspiration and freshness that we need today more than ever before.
Carolina Alessandra Valentini first experienced dancing on stage at just 11 when she performed in a project by the choreographer Sarah Michelson for La Biennale di Venezia. In 2015, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance from Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam. During her studies, she had the privilege of performing a diverse repertoire, including works by Nacho Duato, Samir Calixto, and Club Guy & Roni. She later joined the Internationaal Danstheater in Amsterdam, touring numerous national theatres and international dance festivals with works by Neel Verdoorn, Vasco Wellenkamp, Jan Linkens, and William Lü. Since 2021, she has been a member of the En–Knap Group. She is a dedicated yoga practitioner and a certified teacher. Passionate about art history, she is also a licensed tour guide.
Nika Zidar has liked performing since she was little. She first performed at home in her living room, and some years later on the stages of Slovenian theatres. She built the foundations for her dance education at the Maribor Dance Room, where she was introduced to contemporary dance, ballet and other dance techniques. Since 2017 she had been a member of the dance collective Š.I K. (Maribor Dance Room), performing in dance pieces under the mentorship of renowned choreographers, such as Beno Novak, Luka Ostrež and Urša Rupnik. In 2024, she joined the En–Knap Group in Ljubljana. Currently, she is most interested in research and improvisation. Besides dance, she is passionate about photography and graphic design.
