𝗦𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗻𝗮 𝗸𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗻𝘀𝗸𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘃𝗮. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗷𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘇𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶, 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶š𝗹𝗷𝗶𝗷𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗷𝗮.

Na prvi pogled je to najpreprostejša predstava na svetu. V njej spremljamo tipa, ki piše pismo. Nič več kot to, vendar neskončno več kot samo to. Ista zgodba, isti dogodek je izpeljan na 15 različnih načinov. V slogu vesterna, nemega filma, kot grozljivka, brez rok, vulgarno, naivno, čarobno, s perspektive pijanca … Brez bogate scenografije, brez posebne osvetlitve, učinkov ali kostumov nas nagovarja z neprekosljivo močjo, izjemno natančnostjo in brutalno domišljijo. Z nami komunicira brezbesedno, in medtem ko se dogajanje steka v crescendo igrivosti in presenečenj, gledalcu prepušča le malo prostora za dihanje med smehom.
Obstajajo predstave, ki se rodijo, živijo in umrejo. Predstave, ki se rodijo, zorijo in utrdijo svoj položaj. Postajajo vse lepše in lepše. Iz leta v leto. Iz nastopa v nastop. Takšen je primer predstave Pismo (Krapp’s Last Post, februar 2014).

Osvojila je že ves svet. Skoraj. Na vrsti je Maribor!

𝗢 𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗷𝗮𝗹𝗰𝘂:
𝗣𝗮𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗶 je mojster brezbesednega gledališča. Kot igralec in režiser je dosegel svetovno slavo. Njegov talent se skriva v njegovi sposobnosti, da na sijajen način združuje komični in dramski odrski jezik. Njegovi zaščitni znaki so izjemen občutek za ritem, izredno natančna in niansirana govorica telesa ter ne nazadnje njegova strast, slog in privlačna prisotnost.

𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. 𝗔 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗿.

At first glance, this is the simplest performance in the world. In it, we follow a guy writing a letter. Nothing more than that, but infinitely more than just that. The same story is told in 15 entirely different ways. In the style of a western, a silent film, as a horror, without hands, vulgar, naive, magical, from the perspective of a drunk… Without an elaborate set, special lighting, effects, or costumes, it engages us with unmatched power, exceptional precision, and brutal imagination.
Never a word is spoken, and the result is ludicrous in a ‘crescendo’ of games and surprises, which leaves the audience little space to breathe between laughs.
There are shows that are born, live and die. Others that are born, flourish and consolidate their position. Become more and more beautiful. Year after year. Performance after performance. This is the case of The Letter (Krapp’s Last Post, Feb. 2014).
It has already conquered the world. Almost. Now it’s Maribor’s turn!

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿:
𝗣𝗮𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗶 is a master of wordless theatre. As an actor and director, he has achieved international fame. His talent lies in his bright way to meld the comical and the dramatic stage languages. His trademarks are an extraordinary timing, an extremely precise and nuanced body language, and, not least, his passion, style, and inviting presence.
