Regardless Goes East is an exhibition dedicated to the pioneers of electronic music and sound art. It continues the work of Regardless, which first took place at GAMU (Prague) in 2019. Since then, Regardless has continued evolving, and many other projects have emerged that are dedicated to the same curatorial agenda. Regardless Goes East is intended to move beyond gender bias and draw attention to the latent geographical misrepresentation (even within a context that is itself misrepresented). This version, created for Ljubljana, broadens both geographic and cultural references, inviting visitors to engage with these works while exploring their stories.

A collective exploration of the potential of the music community and commoning in bringing about positive change. As sound artists, our main role is to listen and recognise voices that have been silenced. Join us to discuss what more people should hear and what still needs to change, both in the music scene and society in general.

The discussion is initiated and curated by Mary C, co-founder and curator of Synth Library Prague, and features Ida Hiršenfelder, Sara Pinheiro, Bojana Salič Podežva, Urška Preis, Klara Wodenh and Eva Badanjak (Žen). More TBA.

This is not a recording studio – no red lights, no heavy doors, no gatekeepers – just an open room, full of different instruments inviting anyone to express themselves through sound.
Join us for a sound exploration on a playground full of instruments prepared by Synth Library Prague. Try out various setups designed for adventures in sound design and music composition, from modular synths and drum machines to vocal processors and tablets. Explore the instruments on your own or share and play with others out loud (see workshop hours above). Each session begins with a short introduction by Mary C, and we’ll be happy to show you how to get started with each instrument. No special skills are needed – everyone is welcome! You’re also welcome to bring your own instrument(s).

Regardless Goes East je razstava, posvečena pionirkam elektronske glasbe ter zvočne umetnosti. Gre za nadaljevanje projekta Regardless, ki je bil prvič predstavljen leta 2019 v galeriji GAMU v Pragi in se je od takrat razvil ter razširil v številne druge projekte s sorodno kuratorsko agendo. Razstava stremi k preseganju spolne pristranskosti in opozarja na latentno geografsko podzastopanost ter slabo razumevanje lokalnih kontekstov. Ljubljanska različica razstave zato razširja izbor geografskih in kulturnih referenc. Ob spoznavanju in poslušanju vključenih glasbenih del tako obiskovalci odkrivajo tudi njihove zgodbe ter ozadja.

Razprava je posvečena kolektivnemu raziskovanju potenciala glasbenih skupnosti in skupnega upravljanja (commoning) pri uvajanju pozitivnih sprememb. Ena ključnih nalog zvočnih umetnic in umetnikov je, da znajo prisluhniti in prepoznati glasove, ki so bili utišani. V sklopu odprte razprave bomo skupaj iskali odgovor na vprašanje, kakšne spremembe so nujne za boljše delovanje glasbene scene in družbe nasploh.
V razpravi, ki jo bo vodila Mary C, soustanoviteljica in soustvarjalka platforme Synth Library Prague, sodelujejo Ida Hiršenfelder, Sara Pinheiro, Bojana Salič Podežva, Urška Preis, Klara Wodenh in Eva Badanjak (Žen).

To ni snemalni studio z rdečimi lučmi, masivnimi vrati in vratarji – ampak odprt prostor, poln različnih instrumentov, ki vabijo k izražanju skozi zvok.
Platforma Synth Library Prague vabi na odkrivanje igrišča elektronskih instrumentov za oblikovanje zvoka in elektronsko kompozicijo – modularnih sintetizatorjev, ritem mašin, vokalnih procesorjev in tablic. Naučite se, kako pristopiti do vsakega instrumenta, preizkusite njihove številne nastavitve in jih »šraufajte« bodisi sami bodisi skupaj z drugimi (termine delavnic najdete zgoraj). Brez skrbi, za udeležbo ni potrebno nobeno predznanje, s seboj lahko prinesete tudi svoje instrumente. Pred vsakim srečanjem je predviden kratek uvod Mary C.
