👣 👀 Kdo pleše plesalce? Kdo gleda gledalce? Kdo pleše, kdo gleda?
👾 Plešoči (p)ogledi (2023) so potopitvena plesna izkušnja, ki premika meje realnosti in virtualnosti skozi medij VR plesnih filmov. Telo občinstva postane posrednik, ki povezuje virtualni svet, ki ga občinstvo vidi skozi VR naglavno opremo, in fizično realnost, ki jo čuti, sliši in voha. Plesalci v živo izrabljajo prostor okrog VR občinstva, med obojimi vznika interakcija, ki jih veže nase, premošča dve ločeni realnosti in ustvarja resnično transformativno plesno izkušnjo.
🎮 Fabien Prioville je ponovno v objemu virtualne resničnosti. Za razliko od Rendez-Vous (2018) sta zasedba in občinstvo, tisto z naglavno opremo, potopljena v čisto virtualnost, ne vsakdanjost, stroge, vseeno igrive samostojne koreografije, iz katere vznika interaktivnost, kot bi Pina Bausch oživela kot video igra. A interaktivnost še ni vsa participacija. Medtem ko virtualnost objame (p)ogled, se telo odpre participaciji, brez napora. Participacija participira telo. Plesalci v živo se odzivajo na participacijo, gibi na odru, ki jih spodbuja niz VR plesnih filmov, spodbujajo gibe na odru, vzpostavijo skupni fizični jezik, ki preide v igrivo, vseeno strogo samostojno koreografijo. Kolektivno utelešenje briše ločnice med občinstvom in plesalci in ustvarja transformativno izkušnjo onkraj uprizoritve. Ali telo, (p)ogled, resničnost potrebuje suverenost? Ali kolektivnost potrebuje suverenost telesa, (p)ogleda, resničnosti?
💡 Večinoma me zanima tehnologija, ki jo imajo ljudje v rokah, ki zaseda večino našega časa. Kako vpliva na naše življenje, naše odnose? Če v središče postaviš, kaj ljudje uporabljajo, ne kaj vedo, se nenadoma ‘dotakneš’ drugačnega občinstva.

👣 👀 Who dances the dancers? Who watches the watchers? Who dances, who watches?
👾 Dancing Audience (2023) is an immersive dance experience that pushes the boundaries of reality and virtuality through the medium of VR dance films. The audience’s body becomes an agent, connecting the virtual world they see through the VR headset with the physical reality they can feel, hear, and smell. With live dancers taking advantage of the space around the VR audience, a captivating interplay emerges, bridging two distinct realities and creating a truly transformative dance experience.
🎮 Fabien Prioville is again in virtual reality’s embrace. Unlike Rendez-Vous (2018), the company and audience, the one with headset, are immersed in pure virtuality, not the everyday, of strict, nonetheless playful self-contained choreography, from which an interactivity emerges, as if Pina Bausch came to life as a video game. Interactivity is not all participation. While virtuality embraces the gaze, the body opens up to participation, effortlessly. Participation participates the body. Live dancers respond to participation, movements on the stage, prompted by a series of VR dance films, prompt movements on the stage, establishing a shared physical language that morphs into a playful, nonetheless strict self-contained choreography. The collective embodiment blurs the boundaries between audience and dancers, creating a transformative experience beyond the performance. Does the body, gaze, reality need sovereignty? Does collectivity need sovereignty of the body, gaze, reality?
💡 I’m mostly interested in technology, which is in people’s hands, which occupies most of our time. How does it affect our life, our relationships? If you put in the centre what people use, not what people know, suddenly, you ‘touch’ a different audience.
