➡️ 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Duhovnica je film o evangeličanski duhovnici Jani, ki je na pomembnem razpotju, soočena z življenjsko dilemo, ali zapustiti duhovniški poklic, s tem pa tudi prekiniti dolgo družinsko duhovniško tradicijo, saj sta oče in mama prav tako duhovnika. Jana s svojimi svobodomiselnimi in humornimi nazori ruši cerkvene norme. Sčasoma postaja v lastni cerkvi vedno bolj izobčena. Njene dolgo zakopane rane iz otroštva se odpirajo in vedno bolj se kažejo razpoke v družinskih odnosih, kar terja tudi davek na njenem zdravju. Na vasi sicer velja za “Božjo predstavnico na Zemlji”, a vendar tudi ona kdaj zakolne, nosi svoj lasten križ in je človek iz mesa in krvi.

➡️ 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Jana is an Evangelical Protestant pastor working in two small parishes in deprived Slovenian villages. She was raised behind church walls, with a strong religious background and both her parents being pastors. She has overcome childhood sexual abuse, father’s alcoholism and a rebellious youth. With her humorous and open spirit, in constant “search for God”, she feels more and more trapped in the rigid teachings of her Church. She is becoming an outcast; she loves her Church community deeply and is faced with a life’s dilemma whether to step away from the pastor hood. Her family is strongly against it. Meanwhile the cracks in her marriage also appear. Her problems are bubbling up, bringing an urgent need to make radical life-changing decisions. It takes courage to stand up for your own beliefs and confront long buried family wounds.
